Held at Toronto’s historic Glenn Gould Studio at 7 pm on Thursday, April 28, the night will feature an hors d'oeuvres reception, a concert from singer-songwriter Miranda Stone, and readings from beloved poets John Terpstra and Luci Shaw and award-winning novelist Deborah Joy Corey. The evening will be capped off with an intimate, thought-provoking panel discussion with all four artists.
Miranda Stone is a veteran Toronto-based singer-songwriter whose third album of “passionate, non-linear music” is Seven Deadly Sins.
John Terpstra is the author of eight books of poetry and several volumes of nonfiction, including most recently Skin Boat: Acts of Faith and Other Navigations. He lives in
Hamilton, Ontario.
Luci Shaw is a poet, essayist, teacher, and lecturer. Her most recent books are What the Light Was Like, Accompanied by Angels: Poems of the Incarnation, and Breath for the Bones: Essays on Art, Imagination, and Spirit. She is writer in residence at Regent College in Vancouver.
Deborah Joy Corey was recently awarded the Stella Kupferberg Prize by the radio program Selected Shorts and is a recipient of the Books in Canada First Novel Award. She has just completed her third novel and a story collection, You Are What You Drive.
