Image is proud to host a reading with 2012-2013 Milton Fellow, Kelly Foster, at the Seattle Pacific Art Center Gallery. Kelly, a creative nonfiction writer working with Lauren Winner during her year's fellowship at Image, will be reading from her manuscript "Boystown Blues."
As a native Southerner, Kelly's writing is largely concerned with the particularities of place, with the narratives of family, with the legacies of poverty and oppression indelibly etched across a still green and redemptive landscape. Kelly has been a regular contributor at Good Letters, Image's daily blog, and has taught writing and literature across the country from Loyola University of Chicago to California's College of the Sequoias--and now at Seattle Pacific.
This event is free and open to the public.
