Nurturing the Creative Ecosystem
with Andy Crouch | October 18-22, 2012 | Laity Lodge, Texas
This October, a group of inquirers will gather with cultural commentator Andy Crouch, author of Culture Making: Recovering Our Creative Calling, to explore art’s ecology. The arts are not just for artists, Crouch believes. They cannot survive without a rich ecosystem of people who love them, and love artists. If they are to thrive in a society, the arts need viewers, readers, advocates, patrons, critics, and pastors. Over the long weekend, we will tour the artistic ecosystem and reflect on our own roles in creating a healthier environment for the creation of works that advance the true, the good, and the beautiful in—not separate from—the contemporary world of the arts.
