Nicole Miller
Image is pleased to award its 2011-12 postgraduate Milton Fellowship in writing to Nicole Miller. Nicole, a native of Iowa, received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature and creative writing from Bethel University in 2004. Since completing an MFA in fiction writing at Sarah Lawrence College in 2009, she's done the very rewarding work of teaching first-year students at SUNY Purchase College in New York. Nicole is grateful for the opportunity to join the community of readers and writers at Image, the Milton Center, and Seattle Pacific University. As the 2011-12 Milton Fellow, she will work to complete a collection of stories that explore what April Bernard calls "the lies of love." Nicole’s fiction can be found in Image issue 63 and in the online anthology Underwater New York.
