More details below.

Accommodations on Campus

The Glen Workshop takes place on the campus of St. John’s College and convenient lodging is provided in housing designed for their students. These no-frills facilities are spartan and tidy and exclusively feature twin-sized beds. Each guest will be provided basic linens: two unfitted sheets, one pillow, and two blankets, plus two towels and one washcloth. If you prefer, you’re welcome to bring linens from home. See our FAQs for more packing tips.

The Retreat Option

Transportation

Glen participants are responsible for their travel to and during the Glen. The vast majority of events will take place on the campus of St. John’s College and most participants will fly into the area and take an airport shuttle to and from campus without need for an additional vehicle. However, please bear in mind it’s likely some optional afternoon and evening events will take place off campus and require carpooling, cabs, and/or nominal additional fees for group transportation.

Eating at the Glen

Meals are included with registration (lunches only for commuters*) and most attendees eat together in the St. John’s College Dining Hall three times each day. A wide variety of food is offered at every meal, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Common breakfast options include eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits, gravy, fresh fruit, oatmeal, dry cereals, and an assortment of pastries. Lunch and dinner options range from American classics to fresh spins on Asian, Southwest, and Italian cuisines, and feature salad and sandwich-making stations. St. John’s College contracts with Sage Dining Services and you can download the Touch of Sage app to peruse nutritional information for their menus. If you have a concern about food allergies, please write the Glen staff. We’ll work with the Sage team to confirm we can accommodate you.

The St. John’s Coffee Shop is also located around the corner from the Dining Hall. Snacks and meals can be purchased there all day.

*Commuters are welcome to purchase breakfast and dinner on campus for $7 and $9 respectively. Cash and credit are accepted in the dining hall.
