A Week Can Change a Life
And life can change a week. Part creative workshop, part arts festival,
part spiritual retreat, the annual Glen Workshop is, above all, an ongoing
experiment in creativity and community. And for the first time in
our history, that experiment is going online.
We lament the novel coronavirus pandemic that makes this move necessary, but we also know that creativity is born out of constraint. We anticipate a week of unexpected insight and delight that feeds our creative practices until we can meet again in person. This, too, is art. This, too, is community.

At the Glen, daily morning workshops offer artists at all skill levels an opportunity to develop their craft in a wide variety of genres with acclaimed faculty. Likewise, morning seminars offer substantive conversation and engagement with art, mystery, and faith. Afternoons and evenings feature a smorgasbord of optional art + faith discussion cohorts, faculty readings, concerts, and open mics. Artists, writers, musicians, art appreciators, and spiritual wayfarers of all stripes are welcome.
Classes at the Glen Workshop meet for three hours each morning, for a total of 15 hours of expert instruction and in-depth conversation over the course of the week. Attendees choose one class for the week, either a workshop or a seminar.
