The Retreat Option

We’re happy to provide a retreat option for artists, writers, and anyone else who wants to attend the Glen for the community and creative inspiration, but who prefers to spend the mornings working on their own projects. The retreat option includes everything except a morning class. When selected at checkout, the retreat option will subtract $300 from the registration price based on your preferred accommodations.

Unless otherwise noted, your registration fee covers:

+ six nights of lodging with basic linens
+ meals for seven days (starting with dinner on Sunday and ending with brunch on Saturday)
the morning workshop or seminar of your choice
+ afternoon and evening faculty presentations (past presentations have included poetry readings, panel discussions, craft talks, film screenings, and concerts)
+ opportunities for spiritual reflection (past offerings have included daily chapel, yoga, contemplative prayer, and spiritual direction)
+ community programming including receptions, open mics, and field trips*
may require additional fees for admission and/or transportation

Visit our Schedule for programming details.

Payment Plan

When you register you'll be given two options:
1. Pay in full.
2. Pay in five monthly installments (using code INSTALLMENT), starting with 20 percent down at registration. You'll be automatically billed for the balance in four monthly installments concluding no later than one month before the Glen begins. If you register within five months of the Glen, your monthly payment percentage amount will be increased accordingly.

Group Discount

We're pleased to offer a 25 percent discount on Glen registration to groups of three or more attendees. In order to activate your group discount, please email us at glenworkshop@imagejournal.org with the names of the people in your group. We'll provide a code that each person can use to get the discount while registering (and paying) individually.

Glen Fellowships

Glen Fellowships provide full scholarships to the 2022 Glen Workshop to applicants who demonstrate creative promise and leadership skills with preference given to BIPOC applicants. Most fellows will serve as teaching assistants in their own workshop and also lead a Glen Cohort, stoking conversation and community among five to eight Glen attendees throughout the week. Fellowship opportunities are also available for those with experience as spiritual directors, yoga instructors, or who have multimedia development skills. Fellowship applications for the 2022 Glen Workshop should open in spring.

Refund Policy

We endeavor to be as flexible as possible, but the following policy is necessary to ensure we can meet our compensation commitments to our teaching faculty and featured guests.

Between March 1 and May 1
Attendees who choose to cancel their registration to the 2022 Glen can choose either a 50% refund of total registration fees or rollover all fees paid to their registration for the 2023 Glen Workshop.

After May 1
Attendees who choose to cancel their registration to the 2022 Glen can rollover all fees paid to their registration for the 2023 Glen Workshop.

After July 1
No refunds are available. Guests can rollover their attendance.

Until July 10
Registrants can transfer their spot in any class to another person until the first day of the Glen. The sooner any such changes can be made, the better as late additions are likely to miss some pre-class communication.

To initiate a refund, rollover, or class change, please send an email to glenworkshop@imagejournal.org.
