Guided retreat with Lisa Ann Cockrel

Glen 2024 faculty member Lisa Ann Cockrel

Retreat to Move Forward

This is a space for folks who want to prioritize progress on a specific creative project during their week at the Glen. You'll get access to a variety of co-working sessions, gentle accountability, and conversations about how inspiration works. There might even be a special guest and/or field trip or two. Everything will be optional so you can mix and match to create the week that best serves your own creative process.

Each Day
Each day will offer a mix of co-working sessions and conversations, plus maybe a field trip or two. Everything will be optional.

Preparation
No advance work will be required. However, one month before the retreat you will be invited to sign up for a 15-minute phone call with Lisa to discuss your goals for the week and how she might support you in meeting them. And you will be encouraged to read two books in advance: The Discipline of Inspiration: The Mysterious Encounter with God at the Heart of Creativity by Carey Wallace (forthcoming June 2024) and Make Your Art No Matter What: Moving Beyond Creative Hurdles by Beth Pickens.

Supplies
writing paper and pens

Experience Level
This retreat is for writers who need both space and a little gentle accountability to make progress on a project.
