Immersive classes are capped at 15-20 students to allow individualized attention in a small morning cohort, then in the afternoons and evenings we mingle with the entire Glen community for a rich buffet of sessions!

Every attendee at the Glen Workshop has access to:

  • An immersive morning class. You’ll choose one class for the week, participating in 5 weekday sessions that meet from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Morning classes are kept small, so you develop close ties and dive deep into your subject. For many attendees, their immersive morning cohort is the heart of the Glen. (If you prefer having mornings free to write, paint, hike, rest, or explore, choose the self-directed option and save $300.)
  • Weekday afternoon and evening sessions, including readings, interviews, craft talks, and more from our illustrious faculty, open mic sessions to share your work, morning chapel, and free time for rest, connection, or local excursions. These p.m. sessions are enjoyed with the entire Glen community, allowing you to mingle with friends attending other morning classes.
  • Experience the gorgeous Pacific Northwest summer. The Glen is held just outside downtown Seattle on an intimate college campus. Whether you're an outdoor-loving writer craving quiet and peace, or an active extrovert seeking the benefits of an urban location, there's something for everyone!
  • Optional housing and meal plans.

* Optional add-ons available. Baseline registration is $1450 but may vary depending on a class's field trip fees and materials supplied by the instructor. Class descriptions at registration will contain details on any additional fees.

Optional Add-Ons:

Songwriting Afternoon Workshop ($250): This year we are offering a two-day afternoon workshop held for 2-1/2 hours daily on Monday and Tuesday with singer-songwriter Audrey Assad. You may add this class on to any other morning class or to the retreat option.

Lodging ($500): Glen guests have the option of staying on campus, conveniently within walking distance of all Glen classes and activities. Lodging includes housing Sunday night through Saturday morning in an on-campus, suite-style residence hall. Attendees who opt for on-campus housing will receive single-occupant, suite-style accommodations with one bathroom per two rooms. Friends or partners may share a single room with two movable double-beds; the fee is still $500 per person.

Meal Plan ($375): Meal plans include breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the dining hall Sunday dinner through Saturday breakfast (with the exception of dinner on Wednesday, our free night). Meals offer guests the opportunity to dine with one another and faculty at Gwinn Commons, in the heart of campus. (Meals may also be purchased individually in the dining hall.)
