Artist Statement: Claudia Hermano (she/her/they/them)
I am an interdisciplinary artist whose practice focuses on themes of home and belonging, primarily through photography and book-making. Growing up, I moved every two or so years—so I have a difficult time identifying where I am from. But I currently call Northampton, Massachusetts, home. I am struggling to feel whole while my family is quarantined in New York City, but I am finding solace through daily FaceTime calls and documenting the loneliness.
