The Discipline of Inspiration
with Carey Wallace
A five-week craft workshop for those looking to cultivate the discipline of inspiration, in their creative work and in life.
February 3–March 6
Mondays & Thursdays, 7:30–9 p.m. Eastern
We are pleased to announce our latest Image Seminar, an opportunity to dive deeper into your craft, guided by faculty from our community who understand the unique impulses and challenges facing artists at the intersection of art, faith, and mystery.
“This book articulates things artists know in their being, but haven’t had words for, addressing the beautiful complexity of what drives us to create and what we encounter when we do.”
–Patti Smith on The Discipline of Inspiration by Carey Wallace
Artists know the sensation that our best work comes from something beyond us. But where does inspiration come from? What does it want from us? How can we find more of it?
Based on the work of Carey Wallace's new book by the same name, The Discipline of Inspiration explores the divine roots of inspiration, drawing together testimony from artists across genres and throughout time. It offers practical tools for people at any stage of their creative craft, from any background, to welcome more inspiration.
It's a workshop for everyone who is curious to learn more about the transcendent moments they’ve experienced when creating or confronting art—and how the wisdom contained in the classic spiritual disciplines can help us find more inspiration, not just in art, but in life.
This intensive will meet on Zoom, Mondays & Thursdays, from 7:30–9 p.m. ET.
Class Schedule:

Week 2: February 10 & 13
