Artist Statement: I examine how mass media and visual culture shape notions of truth and understanding of the “other.” I create digital photographs, videos, and interactive installations that combine social practice with institutional critique. I’m curious about how the act of seeing is transformed by technology; my Manhattan quarantine photographs expand viewers’ attentions to contemplate stillness and the optics of light.
