Artist Statement: My name is Aaron Turner, and I'm currently based in Fayetteville, Arkansas. I use photography to pursue personal stories of people of color, in two main areas of the U.S., the Arkansas and Mississippi Deltas. I also use the view camera to create still life studies on the topics of race, history, blackness as material, and the role of the black artist. One thing that I'm missing during this quarantine is working and teaching in the Darkroom.
